SCHAUMBURG, IL, August 28, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michele Kadlec, Chief Executive Officer of Health Plus Physicians Organization, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Executive of the Year in health care business administration. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Ms. Kadlec started her healthcare career in the provider network development and contracting department of Rush Health Plans, Chicago, IL as one of four people while finishing a master's degree. When she joined HPPO over 15 years ago the organization was on the brink of bankruptcy — it has since become one of the strongest independent physician organizations in Chicago. Ms. Kadlec credits HPPO's success due to the administration and physician leadership. She said, "Empowered employees are proud of their contribution to the organization. With over 20 years of experience in the field, she is currently responsible for deploying successful contract negotiations, network development, HIPAA and Corporate Compliance, ensuring accuracy in receivables and physician reimbursement, utilization management assessment, acuity and demographic valuation, quality improvement, physician performance incentive platforms, patient satisfaction, and employee fulfillment and management of 15. Health Plus Physicians Organization is an independent physician organization that provides payer delegated administrative, case management, and quality improvement functions. HPPO contracts with multiple Chicagoland payers, and over 400 physicians to provide medical care to patients in the community. Ms. Kadlec and her team have also added a new company called Health Plus Physician Solutions. This business focuses on physician office billing and collections, internal policy, employment and assessment, and contract negotiation.

Ms. Kadlec is pursuing a doctorate degree. In 1993, she received a master's degree in business from Roosevelt University. In 1991, she received a bachelor's degree in public relations, and minors in psychology and finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She has served on many charity boards; she is a supporter of the Special Olympics, Little City Foundation, Dogs with Disabilities, Seacoast Bird Sanctuary, etc.; and former President of the Panhellenic Council at UW-W. She is a member of The American Academy of Medical Management. She has spoken at the Illinois Association of Health Maintenance Organization and Managed Healthcare Providers Association, among other symposium venues. She is also a Alpha Sigma Sorority member and motivational speaker.

Ms. Kadlec has been married for 22 years, and has a 13 year old son. She enjoys hockey, skiing, golf, tennis, mountaineering, and fishing.
