Ralph A. Eisenbrandt Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Railroad History

Ralph Eisenbrandt has enjoyed a fruitful career by doing what he loves the most

FRANKFORT, IL, September 18, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ralph A. Eisenbrandt, President of the National Association of Retired & Veteran Railway Employees, Unit 116, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

After harboring a lifelong interesting in the field, Mr. Eisenbrandt embarked on a career in the railroad industry. Boasting more than four decades of experience, he makes a superb president of the National Association of Retired & Veteran Railway Employees (NARVRE) unit 116, a railroad retiree organization that promotes, protects and preserves the railroad retirement pension system. In his position since 2003, Mr. Eisenbrandt interfaces with individuals globally pertaining to historical data for railroads, as well as for detailed city information of railway networks. Away from his work at NARVRE, he is affiliated with many historical organizations. He is a life member and co-founder of the Frankfort Area Historical Society, a board member for the Frankfort Preservation Foundation and a member of the New York Central System Historical Society.

Alongside his railroad career, Mr. Eisenbrandt worked as a deputy chief at the Frankfort Fire Department and also developed an enhanced 9-1-1 project for Will County Illinois. Having enjoyed a rewarding career, he attributes his success to the excellent teachers and mentors he encountered throughout his life. He feels fortunate to have worked alongside intelligent, honest and skilled supervisors who contributed to his own ability to advance into business management positions. He in turn has passed on his knowledge of railroading, fire fighting and continues to teach others of the railroad and local area history. In the near future, he hopes to publish a hardcover book about the history of the northeast Illinois asnd northwest Indiana railroads.
