Michael Williams became involved in his profession through a natural progression of opportunities stemming from his past success winning complex and large deals across a number of industries. While completing a bachelor's degree in economics from Macquarie University, he began his career as the national marketing executive and state sales manager for Penfolds Wine, a leading Australian wine manufacturer, where he remained for seven years. Transitioning into the world of banking, Mr. Williams secured a position in institutional and corporate banking with the Westpac Bank, the first bank established in Australia.

After serving for more than 11 years in his leadership role at Westpac, Mr. Williams spent more than 12 years with IBM Australia and 3 years with Wipro as a financial services-business and IT large deal lead, during which time he gained extensive hands-on experience in the information technology sector. Mr. Williams devoted much time and effort to building functional business relationships with clients, acquiring new business and working with a diverse range of the company's business, finance and IT teams to promote profitability and success. Through his leadership initiatives, Mr. Williams helped extend numerous existing business opportunities, allowing him to stand out as a source of knowledge upon joining SAP Australia in 2013. Known for its deep industry experience and a 360-degree view of 'business through technology', SAP currently 65,700 people and has 232,000 clients across 130 countries.

As a Client Partner for SAP -Australia, Mr. Williams handles profit and loss accountability and responsibility while building a strong network of business relationships and leading his team with motivational coaching strategies. Dedicated to constantly achieving the company's goal of providing quality IT outsourcing and business process outsourcing, Mr. Williams remains aware of opportunities to implement innovative business strategies that support the delivery of a comprehensive portfolio of IT services. Mr. Williams is a graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and in his spare time, he enjoys watching and playing sports, especially rugby union, tennis and golf.
