Sgambato, the President and Chief Operating Officer in the Executive Management department of Semitec USA Corp., has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the management of sales for the largest NTC thermistor manufacturer in the world.

Operating as a division of Semitec Corporation, a Japanese temperature sensor manufacturer with operations in Japan, China, Korea, Philippines and the U.S., Semitec USA Corp. has contributed to the development of many innovative technologies and applications for NTC thermistors. The primary focus in the U.S. is to assist medical companies in utilizing state of the art temperature sensing in their respective devices and procedures, as many of the thermal sensors are used in catheters that treat several forms of tumors and cancers, as well as heart disease.

A former stateside cook for the U.S. Army for six years, Mr. Sgambato became involved in his current profession after writing machine code (programming language) for Burroughs Corporation. He then transitioned to holding a position at a thin film technology company working as engineering support for the sales and marketing departments. Finding the high tech sales and marketing atmosphere to be intriguing, he became involved in direct sales management with temperature sensor manufacturers, and has been a leader in the industry since.

Now, having amassed nearly 40 years of professional experience in areas such as electronic/electrical sales and working with manufacturers' rep sales channels, Mr. Sgambato has lent 20 of those years to working with thermistor temperature sensors with emphasis in the medical temperature market. Already in his third year in his current position, Mr. Sgambato is well equipped to direct, motivate and support a comprehensive network made up of inside sales people and independent manufacturers' representatives from areas throughout North and South America.

In fiscal 2010, Mr. Sgambato set up the U.S. sales/marketing organization to achieve exceptional results by tripling existing sales. The highlight of his career thus far was closing a major medical account for Semitec USA Corp. that doubled the size of the company. An expert in operations management and oversight, new business development, key account management and contract negotiation, Mr. Sgambato is responsible for the handling and reporting of monthly sales, profits and losses and developing creative solutions for temperature sensing. He collaborates directly with independent contractors and manufacturers' representatives in order to keep up with market needs, and he also supervises a team of 10 employees. Committed to constantly implementing new strategic plans to open up the medical market, Mr. Sgambato utilizes his executive leadership and motivational skills to lead his employees and his company to both success and future opportunities for advancement in the medical device sector.

Mr. Sgambato graduated magna cum laude from Roger Williams University in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a minor in mathematics following the completion of an associate's degree in electrical engineering. He also holds a diploma in industrial electronics from the Community College of Rhode Island. Active in the professional community, Mr. Sgambato is a member of the Electronics Representatives Association and the Phi Beta Kappa Society.

Attributing his success to never making promises which he cannot keep, Mr. Sgambato's plans for the future are to bring Semitec to the position of 'Global Leader' as the benchmark temperature sensor manufacturer. As the company's thin film thermistor technology continues to revolutionize medical applications once reserved for thermocouples, he anticipates continued positive growth in the years to come.

In his free time, Mr. Sgambato enjoys skiing, fly fishing, mountain biking and sampling fine wine.
