Everhart & Company, Inc., has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in insurance services. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Mr. Everhart is a licensed Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and an associate in reinsurance with the American Institute For Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. He became involved in his profession working for his father in the insurance business many years ago, and for six years, he also served as a supervisor at Aetna in its Commercial Property Division. In 1970, Mr. Everhart started J.P. Everhart & Company, an underwriting and insurance business based in Dallas, Texas that specializes in notary services, including liability insurance for notary professionals in Texas. The company has since grown from a small startup to an international operation and currently has a second office in London.

With more than half a century of experience in his field, Mr. Everhart has cultivated his expertise in insurance program marketing and risk management consulting. As president of the company, he is responsible for overseeing all operations of the business, including managing insurance as a risk management vehicle and underwriting for special programs. Always armed with a sense of humor, he attributes his many years of success to luck.

In addition to running J.P. Everhart & Company, Mr. Everhart underwrites for regional golf events and tournaments. Looking forward, he plans to remain the largest provider of hole-in-one insurance and prize insurance. Active in his own community as well, Mr. Everhart sits on the board of the Dallas branch of the YMCA and serves as the chairman of his church leadership team. A recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Mr. Everhart spends his time away from the office hunting, fishing, woodworking and playing bridge.
