In 1992, shortly after earning a bachelor's degree in finance from L'Universite du Quebec à Montreal and becoming a member of the Order of CPA CA, Alain Robillard began his five-year career as a financial controller at Bureau Spec, a Quebec-based office furniture solutions company, where he remained in charge of full cycle accounting and the presentation of financial statements to the board of administration. In this capacity, he was also responsible for information technology, internal control and fostering valuable business relationships with bankers, auditors and lawyers.

Taking advantage of an opportunity to join Montcorr Packaging in 1997, Mr. Robillard assumed the position of controller, bringing with him expertise in accounting and tax work, as well as an affinity for leadership and an ability to remain calm under pressure. Quickly working his way up through the ranks to obtain his current executive post, Mr. Robillard leads Montcorr today with more than 23 years of professional experience under his belt, 15 of which have been spent in the packaging industry. With a knack for communicating and negotiating plans with colleagues, clients and potential shareholders, he presents himself as a highly competent executive who acts with the best interests of everyone in mind.

Mr. Robillard's results-oriented nature, combined with his creative and analytical mind, allow him to motivate his team to remain aware of valuable relationships and ensure strategic plans are carried out effectively. In addition, his ability to conceive and implement a range of flexible, adaptive and win-win strategies put him at an advantage across multiple disciplines, including strategic management, human resources, information systems, marketing and production, as well as his specialty areas of finance administration and accounting.

Mr. Robillard attributes his decades of success to hard work, having common sense and treating people like he would like to be treated. Active in the professional community, he is a member of the board for the Paper Packaging Association in Toronto and belongs to the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters and Paper Packaging Canada. Away from the demands of his work, Mr. Robillard enjoys playing guitar, golfing and jogging with his dog.
