PARMA, MISSOURI, December 19, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- George G. Husted, a Retired Commander O-5 of the U.S. Navy, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in military photography and videography.

With 37 years of professional experience, retired Cmdr. Husted is recognized for his skills in military leadership, film, commanding detachments throughout Europe and operating a camera. He attributes his success to having spiritual guidance and to working hard. He became involved in his profession after enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, as he has always wanted to serve in the military.

Upon enlisting, Mr. Husted found that the military was not only good for his professional life, but for his personal life. He met his wife, Sidney, in Fort Worth, Texas on his first assignment. Sidney, originally from Texas, was in nurses' training when they met, and they have now been married for 60 years. Mr. Husted considers Sidney "the world's greatest wife."

Former commander Husted received a Bachelor of Science in liberal arts from The State University of New York in 1977, and also took coursework in motion pictures at The University of Southern California and at the Joint Forces State College. Additionally he is the holder of a diploma from the Columbia Military Academy.

He networks with his peers through his memberships in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, The American Legion, The Masonic Society, and The Gideons International. In addition, he has been honored as a VIP Member of Cambridge Who's Who, named an Elite American.

Mr. Husted remembers recalls one particular highlight of his career. He accompanied pilot "Lieutenant Allen Bean" on the test flight for "The Vigilante" a supersonice attack plane. Luckily, Lieutenant Bean was one of the best test pilots of all time, the two military men were able to go up to 900 knots and return to the ship safely.

In the years to come, Mr. Husted hopes to be traveling the world with his wife at his side.
