Cork-Based Design and Print Company Upper Case Continue to Blaze a Trail

Upper Case continue to blaze a trail having recently moved into state of the art studios and are currently having a new website developed.

DUBLIN, IRELAND, January 09, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Since their foundation in the late eighties, one design & print agency has continued to blaze a trail and set industry standards for well over two decades! The agency in question is Upper Case, a Cork based, innovation led company whose work has been recognised with more industry awards that any other in its field.

Originally established as a typesetting and scanning bureau servicing the advertising, design and print sectors in the mid-nineties, Upper Case evolved into one of Irelands first digital print pioneers. A bold move at the time but one that ultimately paid dividends, as they quickly earned a reputation as innovators in the area of high quality digital print. A stand-alone design studio was also added in response to growing demand for specialist design expertise in a number of new areas.

In 2001 the company appointed Ivan Lavelle to the role as business development manager. Ivan's previous work with an Israeli based digital print company gave Upper Case unique insight and direction in terms of market knowledge, applications and trends.

Now the company's Managing Director, Ivan explains how and why the company transformed from a niche service provider into one of Ireland's most respected full service agencies. "Our strategy has always been to try and stay 3-5 years ahead of the competition and that requires constant evolution and innovation. We believed there was a growing demand for a one-stop-shop service model, with a concept to completion ethos across the full spectrum of design, print and marketing services. Our clients tell us they value new ideas, creativity and smart marketing solutions over cheap and cheerful design or print - so that's what we try to excel at. It's about being a source of ideas, solutions and advice to customers, rather than yet another supplier of generic design/print products."

Today the Upper Case skill-set includes dedicated expertise in the following areas: graphic design, web design, digital printing, direct mail], exhibition display and promotional gifts. For customers it means they can get anything from a business card, brochure and brand identity to a website, email campaign or exhibition stand....all designed and produced under one roof. Ivan outlines how the recent downturn has actually helped to segment the market.

"With some agencies there's a race to the bottom, to be the lowest cost provider but no focus on results or ROI. Luckily, savvy businesses realise that it's all about a smarter, more targeted marketing approach, allied to good creative design and high quality print production.

We work with start-ups, SMEs and corporates, along with non-profit and public sector organisations too. Our client list includes names like Pepsico, UCC, HSE, Newsweaver, Minelab, CIT, Cork County Council, Mahon Point and The Hope Foundation to name a few."

2010 saw Upper Case relocate to new, state-of-the-art studios in City Gate, Mahon - home to well know names such as Dell, McAffee and VHI. This January Upper Case will launch their newly redesigned website (http://uppercase.ie), comprising over 70 pages of products, services and advice. It will also incorporate an extensive promotional gifts section with over 10,000 products and solutions.

Upper Case is Ireland's premier design and digital print company providing award winning solutions for all your communications needs. To enquire about any Upper Case product or service, please call Olga Delaney or Ivan Lavelle on 021 2409065 or email [email protected].
