NEW YORK, March 22, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Darryl Penenberg, President of DNP Consultants, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Executive of the Year in Pharmaceutical Consulting. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Dr. Penenberg, who has 26 years of experience in clinical trial auditing and statistical research, established his consultancy in 2012. His areas of expertise include power analyses and sample size determinations, data mining, Bayesian analyses and simulation, survival analyses, statistical modeling and clinical data management. Dr. Penenberg has experience monitoring an array of trial types, include those to expand research in HIV and AIDS, oncology, orthopedics, cardiovascular pharmaceuticals and pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic investigation.

On a day-to-day basis, Dr. Penenberg oversees all aspects of his consultancy, including managing the activities of the firm's biostatician, handling financial matters, marketing and advertising the company, meeting with clients and overseeing analyses of phase one through four trials. In addition to preparing study reports and publishing abstracts and journal articles, he carries out programming in languages such as SAS, SAS IML, MATLAB, MAPLE, BMDP, SPSS, R, C, S-Plus, Minitab, APL and PL1.

Prior to founding DNP Consultants, Dr. Penenberg served for more than two years as director of biostatistics and data management for SK Life Sciences. In this role, he functioned as the company's expert on clinical trial analysis and provided feedback on data issues pertinent to ongoing trials. In addition to monitoring scientific aspects of the company's work, Dr. Penenberg was responsible for handling budget negotiations.
Over the course of his long and distinguished career, Dr. Penenberg also held statistical roles with Tactical Therapeutics Inc., Progenics Pharmaceuticals and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He spent the majority of his career as a project biostatistician, and later as a regulatory senior manager, for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. In these positions, he played a key role in furthering research in pharmaceuticals designed to alleviate orthopedic and central nervous system issues.

Dr. Penenberg holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from the Stevens Institute of Technology in 2010 and a master's degree in mathematics from the City University of New York-Hunter College in 1985. Certified by the New York County Clerk and published in the Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology, he is a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and a member of organizations such as the American Statistical Association, the International Statistical Institute and the Mathematical Association of America.
