Robert Mellino's 25 years of experience in the finance industry includes serving an internship in Japan with the Bank of Japan, working as a loan officer at World Savings and the Bank of New York, and as a stock and commodity broker for Clayton Brokerage Company. Since establishing RAM Real Estate and Financial Services on January 1, 2000, he has specialized in the provision of residential and commercial loans. He is also recognized by his peers for providing his expertise to businesses in the areas of strategy, structure, management and operations, and providing entrepreneurs with business strategies for expanding and creating equity. Prior to establishing RAM Real Estate and Financial Services, Mr. Mellino was most recently an Associate Broker with Mid-Cal Associates for three years. Prior to that, he worked for the Homeowners' Finance Center (1993-1997), Bank of New York/Arcs Mortgage (1992-1993), World Savings & Loan (1992-1996), Certified Capital Corporation (1988-1990), Specialized Financial Services (1984-1988), Novus Corporation (1982-1983) as a stock & commodity broker for Clayton Brokerage/Carnac Grain (1977-1978), General Electric/Utah International (1978-1982), and IBM (1964-1968, 1971-1972). He served in the United States Army from 1968-1971.

He earned his MBA in International Business, specializing in Finance from Golden Gate University, his Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York, and an Associate of Science from Broome Community College. He is an avid reader of business periodicals that keep him up to date on what affects the small business investor, in an effort to better serve his clients. He also enjoys mentoring students and hosting foreign and national interns by creating internships through his company.
