Clint John Armstrong Named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year for Excellence in Telecommunications

Opening one of the first Internet cafes in South Africa, Clint Armstrong seeks to deliver faster, cost-effective technology to the country's residents and businesses



    CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA, April 16, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Clint Armstrong, Director of Research and Development, Chief Technical Officer and Chief Executive Officer for Nucleus Networks and Kawuleza Connect, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Telecommunications. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

The first of its kind in South Africa, Nucleus Networks is an Internet provider that provides network services, cloud computing and data hosting services. Kawuleza Connect provides wireless Internet services. For both companies, Mr. Armstrong oversees staff, develops and implements policies and procedures, and works on sales and marketing projects.

Mr. Armstrong has 26 years of experience in information technology, with 14 years as head of Nucleus Networks and Kawuleza Connect. His areas of expertise include VoIP, wireless, WIMAX, network design, management and international sales. One of Mr. Armstrong's major projects includes a 50 Mbps link from Kawuleza Connect that delivers faster network speeds to corporate clients. Prior to forming Kawuleza Connect and Nucleus Networks, Mr. Armstrong served as CEO of WNC Holdings.

Committed to keeping South African businesses and residents connected, Mr. Armstrong attributes his success to his drive and his ability to work best under pressure. He got involved in his profession starting at age 16 when he decided he wanted to open his own company. Early in his career, Mr. Armstrong worked as a technical director for Wisp, where he developed the first Wi-Fi network in Johannesburg.

During his time off, Mr. Armstrong enjoys spending time with his family and playing World of Warcraft. In the coming years, he hopes to expand his company into other areas of South Africa.
