Netintelligence hoping for back to back British Computing Society Award Wins

Netintelligence & Carphone Warehouse receive joint Award nomination for Business to Business Project of the Year

/24-7PressRelease/ - October 05, 2007 - Netintelligence, in partnership with Carphone Warehouse (CPW), has been named as a finalist in the Business to Business Project Excellence category of this year's British Computing Society IT Awards.

Both companies have been jointly nominated for their efforts in implementing Netintelligence's Ni Mobile Content Manager into CPW's logistics & supply chain.

Ni Mobile Content Manager has been developed as an automated method of checking mobile handsets for previous customer data at the end of the refurbishment process and accurately determining whether the phone passed or failed the test. A record is kept of the test and the content of the phone. This provides the mobile operator with an auditable record that can be used to challenge any future assertions that the refurbishment process failed.

Netintelligence is hoping to repeat last year's success when it won the BCS Award in the Business to Consumer category for its work with Third Gear LLC in developing the parental control product - Safekeeper - for the US consumer market.

Bringing together the BCS IT Professional Awards and the BCS IM Awards, the re-launched BCS IT Industry Awards are considered the most important event in the IT calendar. They mark the key contribution made by the IT profession to economic prosperity, to business efficiency and to the UK's public services.

2007 marks the 50th Anniversary of BCS and is a turning point in the Awards. For the first time the three largest industry bodies, BCS, NCC and Intellect come together to recognise achievement and innovation. The categories reflect the present and future of Information Technology in the United Kingdom and Europe.

As standards of sophistication, business acumen and skill in the IT world are continually developing, the role of IT and its effective management is critical across the whole spectrum of business. The BCS Awards event recognises, promotes and acclaims excellence, professionalism, innovation and the outstanding achievements to which individuals and groups contribute.

Other companies nominated in the B2B Excellence Category include: BT Group plc, Lloyds Registry, VOSA and the London Stock Exchange.

The winners of the awards will be announced at a gala dinner to be held at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday 6th December 2007.
