AGING WELL MAGAZINE TO LAUNCH IN JANUARY 2008

Aging Well is an exciting new quarterly publication for professionals in the field of aging.

SPRING CITY, PA October 8, 2007 ... Great Valley Publishing Company, Inc., a publisher of magazines for healthcare professionals and more recently consumers, will launch its newest publication, Aging Well magazine, in January 2008. The magazine's Web site, http://www.agingwellmag.com, will go live October 8, 2007.

Aging Well is geared toward professionals in the field of aging including, but not limited to, professional geriatric care managers, nurses/nurse practitioners, counselors, psychologists, physicians and physician assistants, and social workers. It will take a multidisciplinary approach to exploring the physical, psychological, social, financial and legal challenges and opportunities in the lives of aging clients.

"According to US census figures, there are currently over 78 million baby boomers in the country, with close to 8,000 turning 60 every day," says Arn Bernstein, Aging Well editor. "At that rate, it's projected that by 2030, there will be 57.8 million between ages 66 and 84. With the number of older adults growing at that rate, we saw a need for a magazine offering useful, reliable, authoritative, timely, and interesting information for healthcare professionals who work with older adults in a number of capacities. We'll be presenting this material in a graphically appealing format that will remain specialized in tone, but offer an alternative to more traditional professional journals."

The magazine will initially be published on a quarterly basis and will have national distribution to 30,000 healthcare professionals. Articles will cover a wide range of aging-specific topics, in addition to various departments that will discuss topics such as elderlaw, Medicare, nutrition, financial planning, care-management case histories, and more. In addition to the print-issue content, the Internet site will also offer several original pieces.

"We're very enthusiastic of the potential for Aging Well to fill a niche that's been previously empty," Bernstein says. "We have what we consider an impressive editorial advisory board and group of writers, many of whom are experts in their specific fields."

Great Valley Publishing COO and Publisher Mara Honicker adds, "We're excited to be part of a growing trend of professionals helping individuals in the second half of life. They face many challenges as well as embrace every opportunity to make aging healthy, comfortable, and, fulfilling."
