This new promotion is based on the concept of a "mystery prize," which is uncovered by customers when they log onto a branded web site and enter the PIN code from their in/on pack giveaway. This strategy stimulates customers to join in a promotional treasure hunt, thus driving multiple sales and repeat business for brand marketers.

The underlying concept of MysteryPIN is to give marketers a way to drive multiple sales by linking one or more large prizes to PINs generated and included on or inside consumer packaging. One of today's hottest giveaway items, and a focus of PromoCard Services' technology-driven portfolio, is digital music downloads. As an example, out of 10,000 PINs generated, 25 can be set up as winners of 1,000 free songs, 100 as winners of ten songs, and perhaps 200 as winners of one song.
