Tracy Wyman Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Higher Education

Tracy Wyman serves as the primary point of contact for capital projects and oversees management of information technology, academic and facilities projects for university



    VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, April 11, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tracy Wyman, Project Director for the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.

The University of British Columbia's Faculty of Education provides a curriculum that prepares students for careers in anywhere from preschool to adult education. Known for its state-of-the-art teaching and learning spaces, the Faculty of Education has demonstrated leadership through advocacy, research and service. As project director, Ms. Wyman's areas of expertise include integration planning and strategic analysis, project management leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Ms. Wyman has been in the education field for seven years, with five years as project director for the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia. Her daily responsibilities include directing, planning and working on executive capital projects. Her latest initiative involves managing the faculty's interest in a $57 million building project at the university called Ponderosa Commons, which will house resources for educational research. Prior to joining the University of British Columbia, Ms. Wyman worked as a curriculum developer and manager and the Justice Institute of British Columbia.

Demonstrating strong project management expertise, Ms. Wyman attributes her success to being goal-oriented and taking risks. She became involved in her profession because of her previous experience as an administrator and educator in Saudi Arabia. She taught at Saudi Arabian Airlines - International School for 10 years.

A graduate of Simon Fraser University, Ms. Wyman received a bachelor's degree in English and visual arts and a master's degree in English. Outside of work, she is affiliated with the Cambridge University Summer Semester Conferences and Presentations, and certified by the Project Management Institute. Her favorite activities include gardening, hiking and participating in other outdoor activities. In the coming years, Ms. Wyman hopes to see her current project through to completion and move into a director position.
