Michelle Purves Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Painting

    Paddington, NSW, Australia, June 6, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michelle Purves, Artist, Writer, and Producer for Equilibrium Films Pty Ltd, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in painting.

Growing up in a small village in Zimbabwe, Ms. Purves had a childhood surrounded by nature. Everywhere she looked, there was an affront to the senses which flared and influenced her use of colors. With no television, the occasional radio signal, and a bicycle to ride to her favorite places, it was the perfect backdrop for any artist, where beauty abounds, time stands still, and peace was found. It was a great place for opening the mind. She has since developed her own style and had her first exhibition in 2002.

With two decades of experience, Ms. Purves now serves as an artist, writer, and producer for the film company, Equilibrium Films Pty Ltd. In her role, she writes and edits screenplays, paints, manages events, and provides mentoring and counseling services. She has earned a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of New South Wales. She worked in management before studying the basics of film making in New York, and exhibiting as an artist.

Ms. Purves has had numerous exhibitions in Sydney, and she has worked in Paris, London, South Africa and Australia. She is continually striving for new goals and new directions in her life, and from 2010 to 2012 she has produced and hosted 12 private classical recitals with more than 1,000 attendees, supporting young classical musicians and bringing joy into the lives of others.

Ms. Purves has served as a committee member of the Sydney Opera House since 2010, and is part of the Matreya Universal Eduction Program in Bodghgaya, India. In the future, she plans to begin painting for another exhibition in Sydney and potentially Monaco, and finish writing a libretto for an opera.
