Marilyn K. Lippold Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Credit Card Processing

Ms. Lippold develops partnerships with financial institutions



    "SWANSEA, ILLINOIS, June 6, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marilyn K. Lippold, President of Card Marketing, Inc., has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in credit card processing.

Ms. Lippold has been in the credit card services industry for 27 years, with 18 years in her current role. She has tremendous expertise in the industry. Having been the first female vice president of a bank group and the first female president of the Belleville Rotary Club, she is especially concerned in advising women entrpreneurs about their credit card processing needs. After spending 24 years in the banking industry, she was inspired to start her business and to start working for herself, not someone else. It was tough back in the 1970s and '80s for women to get ahead in a male-dominated industry. She worked hard to become the first woman to head up a lending division for a bank. She went back to college, finished an MBA in management from SIUE (1986) and a retail banking graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, all while working and raising two small children.

With Card Marketing, she assists businesses by giving them the ability to accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and checks and provides them with personal service, not just an 800 number. Her clients are diverse and she serves nationally, with personal customer service.
She is developing partnerships with financial institutions in the business area, who refer all their business to her, and working with home-based businesses. She is looking for new financial institutions for services, meeting with all clients, and helping them with documentation and paperwork, and to install their systems. She is working with two independent contractors. She is often going to the client's place of business, and assessing what they have and identifying areas of need, such as compliance and reduction of fees. She always receives notifications on any changes of regulations She works with e-commerce businesses, retailers, restaurants, gas stations and medical facilities and handles marketing through her partnerships with banks. She is also managing her brand new website and engaging in networking groups. Ms. Lippold hopes to double her business, and would like to add more independent sales representatives.

Previously, Ms. Lippold was vice president at Magna Bank for 24 years, and worked as an auditor for many years; she managed the credit card division for nine years. Also, she was an instructor for the American Institute of Banking, teaching money, banking, credit card operations and management, as well as at De Paul University in Chicago, teaching computer systems auditing. She wrote a book called "Credit Card Processing Made Simple: What Every Business Owner Needs to Know" in 2012.

She attributes her success to her persistence. She became involved in her profession because, when she was finishing an MBA program, she told the president of a bank that she wanted to run a department; he called her back in, and asked her to run their credit card division.

She is a member of the O'Fallon Chamber of Commerce; Troy-Maryville Chamber of Commerce; Executive Women's Golf Association; Riverbend Growth Association; and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois. She does charity work for the Ladies Golf Event and as a mentor for Bowl for Kids Sake. Her hobbies include golf and she is a season ticket holder for the St. Louis Cardinals.
