"Lush and Diverse" Science Fiction Writing Earns NY Author Anna LaForge Praise for Second Novel Agave Revealed, the Second Book in Maze Series, Now Available From Amazon, Barnes & Noble

While Publishers Weekly finds LaForge's worldbuilding "lush and diverse," Library Journal believes that the compelling story "...should appeal to fans of visionary fiction such as Frank Herbert's Dune."

NEW YORK, NY, July 22, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- New York Author Anna LaForge has released Agave Revealed, the second novel in the Maze series.

Agave Revealed is a continuation of her 2012 novel The Marcella Fragment, beginning fifty years after Kara and Tyre achieve Transformation. Agave, the city of slaves, must be included in the Sowers' promise, and so a plan is begun by the Seventeenth Mother and put into play by the Eighteenth Mother to bring profound change to a place whose name is a curse throughout the known world. Readers of Book 1 will find characters both old and new involved in the plot of Agave Revealed, and will enjoy the continuation of this epic story.

The well-respected industry journals Publishers Weekly and Library Journal have high praise for Agave Revealed:

"LaForge's worldbuilding is lush and diverse... a frequently engrossing exploration of post-Earth societies." -- Publishers Weekly, May 27, 2013
"LaForge's compelling story...should appeal to fans of visionary fiction such as Frank Herbert's Dune." -- Library Journal, June 15, 2013

"This book," explains Ms. LaForge, "continues the story of survivors of a destroyed Earth, aided by the mysterious Sowers, and their millennia-long struggle to rebuild a better society. A genetic change that promises a leap in human evolution is a central theme, and the learned rulers of the city of Pelion attempt to spread this knowledge around the world."

Featuring characters that are rich and varied, including tortured slaves, haughty nobles, dutiful soldiers and enlightened leaders, the setting is the two divergent cities, Pelion and Agave, and the wilderness between them. Readers have found that the book transports them to another world with a story that is smart, imaginative and thrilling.

Both titles are available in eBook and print formats through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and your favorite indie bookstore to be found at Indiebound. In addition, the eBook is available through Kobo, the Apple iBookstore and other eBook retailers.
