Christopher John Evers-Swindell Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Engineering

    BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, July 22, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Christopher John Evers-Swindell, Senior Consultant - Boilers & Pressure Vessels for Hatch, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in engineering.

Hatch is a global consultant for mining, metals, power, oil & gas, energy, technology, services and infrastructure that specialises in the supply of technical and strategic services including information technology, engineering, process development, and project management and construction management to the above mentioned industries. Some of Mr. Swindell's areas of expertise include quality assurance, material selection for high temperature and corrosive environments and non-destructive testing. He is also responsible for reviewing weld procedures, metallurgy, inspection & test plans, and design and construction of process plants.

Mr. Swindell has more than 30 years of experience in engineering, including 12 years as a specialist with Hatch. His daily responsibilities include consulting, checking designs, verifying designs of pressure vessels for locally and imported process plants. He also spends time mentoring young graduates in the field. Overall, Mr. Swindell attributes his success to his passion for what he does. He became involved in his career after gaining experience in manufacturing, detailed design, marketing and business development.

A designated pressure equipment-certified engineer, Mr. Swindell has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a diploma in marine engineering from Newcastle, UK. He is also a member of the Registered Professional Engineers of Queensland, Fellow of the Institute of Engineers and Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, and Chartered Engineer, UK. In his free time, he enjoys sailing, playing the guitar, reading and long-distance running. In the coming years, Mr. Swindell plans to retire but continue to serve as a consultant.
