Anita L. Jackson Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Counseling Services

Anita's dream is to have 40 trainers in every Canadian province

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA, August 1, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anita L. Jackson, Chief Executive Officer and Canadian Founder of Asi Counselling and Professional Services, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in counseling and educational services.

With three decades of experience in her field, Ms. Jackson is known for her expertise in healing, teaching and training of facilitators. On a daily basis, she is tasked with implementing the methodology of the Domestic Violence Intervention program. The "Asi Way" Four Elements to Change method utilizes the First Nation principles of the medicine wheel. It is a cognitive framework that teaches individuals, families and communities how to navigate through situations and emerge in healthy and healing ways. The framework teaches skills and techniques to improve relationships, communication, behavior and emotional reactions/responses. The "Asi Way" is a 160 hour course for facilitators to confidently deliver the 52 week DVI curriculum in their own agency, community, school, etc.

Ms. Jackson has been committed to eradicating violence against children and women for her entire professional life. The program that she has developed goes beyond clinical therapy in that it treats the family as a whole unit, and the community as a whole family; it addresses spirituality, emotions, thinking, actions, past behaviors, and health. She teaches families how to communicate and relate to each other. The training focuses on methods for handling and resolving difficult, aggressive or stressful circumstances, situations, problems or people.

Ms. Jackson attributes her success to her personal integrity and commitment. She became involved in her profession because she can relate to her patients through her own experiences, and now brings healing to others.

In the years ahead, Ms. Jackson plans to expand the training of facilitators in every province and US state so local facilitators can deliver the "Asi Way" 52 week Domestic Violence Intervention program.
