Lady Gaga to Open iTunes Festival at London's Roundhouse

Elton John, Arctic Monkeys and Justin Timberlake among headliners at free festival.



    LONDON, ENGLAND, August 22, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lady Gaga will headline the opening concert of the iTunes festival at London's Roundhouse playing a free show on 1st September at the north London venue, debuting "one hour of all-new music". Visitors coming from outside London can stay at one of the many nearby cheap London hotels and enjoy the free music festival which takes place every night throughout September 2013.

The 27-year-old singer will perform an hour of previously unheard tracks from her new album 'ARTPOP', which is set for release on 11th November 2013. The 1st September 2013 concert is the first time Lady Gaga will perform in the UK since September 2012 when she appeared at the Manchester Arena during her Born This Way Ball world tour.

Gaga hasn't performed live since she injured her hip in August last year, requiring surgery. The injury forced her to cancel dates in the US as part of her last tour. Gaga's only other scheduled live show this year is as the headline act at the MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn on 25th August 2013.

More than 60 artists perform on 30 consecutive nights at the month-long iTunes festival. Acts for every date of have now been confirmed except the final show on 30th September. Confirmed acts include Queens of the Stone Age (6th September), Arctic Monkeys (9th September), Chic ft. Nile Rodgers (14th September), Haim (21st September), Ellie Goulding (22nd September), Dizzee Rascal (27th September), and Justin Timberlake who plays the penultimate night on 29th September 2013.
