Ella H. Craig, MSW, ACSW, Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Social Work

    ANCHORAGE, AK, September 27, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ella H. Craig, Clinical Social Worker and Consultant for Ella Craig, Social Services and Consulting (Volunteer Services), has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in social work.

"I always knew I wanted to be in a field that would allow me to make a difference," states Ella H. Craig, who has dedicated 65 years to the field of social work. Earning a Master of Social Work from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1950, Ms. Craig went on to become a pioneer in social work, making a difference in countless lives over the course of her career. "Many of the people I've helped over the years still stay in touch with me," she notes.

Ms. Craig has worked at a variety of different agencies, both private and public, and has also worked in all facets of the field, including supervision and administration. After earning her Master of Social Work, she took advantage of a job opportunity in Alaska and has never looked back. She spent the last 50 years in this state and has seen social service organizations grow from only two to several hundreds over the years. For the past 20 years, she has served as a clinical social worker and consultant for Ella Craig, Social Services and Consulting (Volunteer Services). She is also involved with the Alaska Center for Geriatric Care, through which she provides consulting and counseling services for individuals and agencies.

Ms. Craig is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, The American Red Cross, and Quota International. She has been recognized for 50 years in her field and was recently named a Professional of the Year in Social Work by Worldwide Branding. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, traveling, and enjoy the theater and the arts.
