2013 Creative Child Awards to Tumblehome Learning and TERC

Several honors in the competition for best educational games and puzzles.



    BOSTON, MA, October 08, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mixing in Math's Blockade and Other Games created by TERC and distributed in partnership by Tumblehome Learning, has been named a Creative Child Magazine's 2013 Product of the Year in the Educational Products Category, and the 2013 Game of the Year in the Educational Math Games Category.

Blockade and Other Games, which is aligned with the Common Core Math Standards for elementary grades, helps children ages five and up to develop skills in number & operations, algebra, geometry, logical & spatial thinking and more.

"We are honored that Blockade and Other Games has been named both Product of the Year and Game of the Year by Creative Child Magazine, especially in the prestigious education products and math games categories. Two additional products also received Awards. Lucky Tens and Other Games won the 2013 Preferred Choice Award in the Educational Math Games Category, and Lost in Tangrams won the 2013 Seal of Excellence Award in the Puzzle Games Category.

Each year, Creative Child holds a 2-day event and takes a unique approach to reviewing products by having moms and early education professionals complete the reviews. Each product is tested by a variety of reviewers who are people who would purchase the product.
