SC Personal Injury Law Firm Releases New Workers' Compensation Book

The South Carolina law firm Reeves, Aiken & Hightower, LLP has released a new e-book on the subject of workers' compensation.

This new guide to the workers' compensation law of South Carolina is designed to give an overview and introduction to the aspects of the system.

ROCK HILL, SC, November 14, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The guide aims to be helpful to both those who have been injured on the job and are looking for answers and those young attorneys who need a brief overview of this area of personal injury law.

The e-book was authored by experienced workers' compensation attorney Robert J. Reeves, who is licensed to practice in both South Carolina and North Carolina. Mr. Reeves started his career as an attorney practicing workers' compensation defense in South Carolina, representing employers and their insurance companies. Now at the firm Reeves, Aiken & Hightower, Mr. Reeves uses his 24 years of experience practicing workers' compensation law to represent seriously injured employees against their employers, as part of the firm's state-wide personal injury practice.

This new guide to the workers' compensation law of South Carolina is designed to give an overview and introduction to the aspects of the system that the average employee-plaintiff will experience after an on-the-job injury. It covers the topics common to all workers' compensation cases including the extent of accidents covered, the definition of "employee," and the range of workers' compensation benefits, as well as common niche topics including claims against third parties and occupational disease claims.

Understanding that the intended audience of the book is principally injured individuals, the book is written in an easy-to-read style and tries to avoid much of the legalese and stilted language that often plagues attorney written text. Despite the plain language, the author intended to give an injured person all of the information they might need to understand the basics of the South Carolina workers' compensation system. Mr. Reeves firmly believes that injured persons deserve to understand the law necessary to make informed decisions concerning their legal claims.

The new book will be available for download online at the website of Reeves, Aiken & Hightower, LLP. Simply go to: http://www.rjrlaw.com to view our entire e-book library.
