Brendon D. How Honored for Accomplishments in Retail

Mr. How brings his years of experience to Payless Shoesource in Australia

Mr. How has 22 years of experience in the industry

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, January 30, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brendon How, General Manager for Merchandise and Marketing for Payless Shoesource in Australia, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in retail.

Mr. How has 22 years of experience in the industry, with three months in his current role. He has become an expert in trade partner relationship management and strategy alignment, and he prides himself on his ability to quickly understand customers' needs. In addition, he has developed skills in product development and international sourcing. According to Mr. How, "My current role sees me overseeing the merchandise and marketing functions of the business." In years to come, Mr. How will be continuing to develop his role with Payless Shoesource.

Looking back, Mr. How attributes his success to the ability to lead a team, develop strategies together with that team, and coaching and mentoring his team to execute the strategies necessary to grow the business effectively. He became involved in his profession because he worked for GP FizGeralds, a department store, part time to fund his studies when attending school. There, after graduating with a bachelor's degree in business accounting, he progressed to the positions of sales manager of the department store, and buyer with the store chain. Following his work with GP FizGeralds, Mr. How continued to work in retail with the Myer Retail group, fulfilling the role of senior buyer and acting merchandise manager for one of its departments.

Mr. How's career achievements have followed a natural progression. He was recognized by his peers as a state winner and national finalist for the American Express Junior Retail Executive of the Year Awards. During his 10-year period with Myer, he was recognized and rewarded as part of the greater Coles Myer Leadership Talent Pool, which had the aim of recognizing and developing future senior leadership within what was at the time Australia's leading retail group.

Mr. How is a candidate for a postgraduate diploma in business management and he holds a bachelor's degree in business with an accounting major. He supports UNICEF, and his hobbies include cooking and traveling.
