As a Peterborough-based enterprise, the team at AOS is thrilled to participate in this exciting event and support multiculturalism in the city.

PETERBOROUGH, ENGLAND, June 20, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Security company Accent on Security was selected to be an official security services provider at celebrity vs community charity football match, played at the Nene Park Academy in Peterborough and opened by city's Mayor - Councillor June Stokes.

The event was held to celebrate the multiculturalism of Peterborough through the strength of sport. As part of the company's ongoing efforts to give back to its communities and clients, AOS was delighted to provide an Events Security team to support the event.

Rog Hatlem, CEO of AOS stated: "As a Peterborough-based enterprise, the team at AOS is thrilled to participate in this exciting event and support multiculturalism in the city. We're an expert physical security provider and we are honoured to be asked to provide security services for the celebrities and VIP's involved."

Celebrities and footballers turned out in force for the event, which was in support of the Arthur Wharton Foundation. Arthur Wharton was the world's first black professional footballer and a talented sportsman across many other disciplines. He was not recognised in sporting history simply because of his colour, despite playing for Darlington and Preston North End.

The Football Association (FA) is recognising Arthur this year with a 16ft. bronze statue at St Georges Park, the National Football Centre in Burton-upon-Trent. The statue will be a symbol of equality in sport and seven smaller statues are to be held in private collections all over the world.

The event received support from several local businesses and included a funfair and entertainment. The AOS Events team interacted with the hundreds of visitors on the day, and specifically provided security for the Arthur Wharton Trophy and the many celebrities, who supported the event.

Former professional footballers included Paul Cannoville, the first black player for Chelsea; Luther Blisset, former England striker and Junior Agogo, the retired Ghanaian professional footballer. The world of show business was represented by 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor Winston Ellis, 'Happy Valley' actor, Jamie Dorrington and Andrew Shim, an actor best known for the film 'Shane Meadows.'

AOS work across numerous sectors, including rail, retail, shopping centres, corporate property, construction and public sectors, providing a professional, personalised service that makes use of the best personnel and innovative technology.

Its broad range of professional security services ensures a complete, dependable offering that gives ultimate peace of mind and value for money.
