Labcon Completes Purchase of Building for Expansion

    PETALUMA, CA, July 03, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Labcon North America, (www.labcon.com) the world's leading manufacturer of Earth Friendly laboratory disposables, announced today the completion of its purchase of a 9.78 acre property at 3200 Lakeville Highway in Petaluma, California. The sale, which includes a 63,000 square foot production building and an 8,000 square foot warehouse closed June 30th at a price of $6.6 million dollars.

"We use our building for manufacturing and distribution, and its important for us to have space to expand," stated Jim Happ, President of Labcon North America. "We plan on adding a sizable distribution center creating more room in our existing facility for manufacturing."

Work on the site to upgrade the utilities and fire protection systems is expected to move retro-fit and space additions into early 2016. An additional goal is to add enough solar electric power generation on the new site to make it an energy-neutral facility.
