Anaheim Automation Releases New Offline Integrated Brushless DC Motor

Anaheim Automation has expanded their line of integrated motors and controllers to include an AC powered controller. The motor/controller combination offers versatility and saves the customer time and money.

Anaheim Automation has chosen to expand horizontally, adding more variety to one of their already top selling integrated motor series.

ANAHEIM, CA, July 17, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Since its inception as a company, Anaheim Automation has placed a major focus on the manufacturing of their drivers and controllers. One of their key product lines includes their integrated motors; stepper and brushless motors with integrated Anaheim Automation controllers and/or drivers. Their constant development has allowed their customer base to choose from a growing variety of sizes and application capabilities. Most recently, rather than expanding to a larger motor frame size or adding a whole new series, Anaheim Automation has chosen to expand horizontally, adding more variety to one of their already top selling integrated motor series.

The BLWS23MDA Offline series is Anaheim Automation's latest release, offering the same motor frame and size as their standard BLWS23MDA series, but with a different type of voltage power. The series gets the name Offline because unlike the original BLWS23MDA series which is DC operated and requires a power supply, this new series operates off of AC voltage, eliminating the need for a power supply - it simply plugs into the wall to run.

The unit broken down includes an Anaheim Automation BLWS23 brushless DC motor, operating at 3000RPM and generating up to 71 oz-in of torque. The motor is combined with their offline brushless controller, using hall sensor feedback to operate in a constant velocity mode. Integrating the two units saves the customer selection time, wiring costs, and potential compatibility errors.

Currently the NEMA 23 frame brushless motor is the only motor series with this offline option, though Anaheim Automation offers integrated options in NEMA 17, 23, and 34 for both brushless and stepper motors. Past developments have included adding larger or smaller NEMA frame sizes as an option; this is the first time Anaheim Automation has decided to expand an existing motor series, adding versatility instead of variety. Anaheim Automation hopes the new offline series is a success, as it plays a contingent role in determining further expansion of the like into other series.
