By successfully bringing together thousands of people who want to buy, with thousands of businesses selling the latest products, these shows have become the premier events for the industry.

PORTLAND, ME, August 06, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Registration is now open for both the 2014 Pacific Marine Expo (PME), which will be held Wednesday, November 19, through Friday, November 21, at Seattle's CenturyLink Field Event Center, and the 2014 International WorkBoat Show (IWBS), North America's largest commercial marine trade show and conference, which will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center from Wednesday, December 3, through Friday, December 5. Both Shows are produced by Diversified Communications.

"By successfully bringing together thousands of people who want to buy, with thousands of businesses selling the latest products and technologies, and by offering strong conference programs, these shows have become the premier events for the commercial marine industry," said Bob Callahan, Show Director of Pacific Marine Expo and International WorkBoat Show.

Callahan said he expects both shows to attract record levels of participation.

Pacific Marine Expo 2014

PME is the largest and longest running commercial marine tradeshow on the West Coast. The Expo serves all aspects of the market, including commercial vessels owners, commercial fishermen, boat builders, workboat operators and seafood processors.

"Last year, the Pacific Marine Expo continued its strong growth," noted Callahan. "We filled the entire exhibit hall with nearly 450 exhibitors and attracted more than 8,500 visitors from 40 states and 17 countries."

"Get Geared Up" is the theme of the 2014 PME. "You'll find everything you need all in one convenient location- the latest in equipment, new products, fresh solutions and even some fun," Callahan said.

Callahan reported that 80% of attendees said they attend PME to find new products that are right for their business and 70% of visitors purchased for their business as a result of PME.

The Expo features the King County Maritime Economic Forecast Breakfast, free conference programming, Author's Corner, Fisherman of the Year Contest and other special events.

International WorkBoat Show and Annual Conference 2014

"The WorkBoat Show and Annual Conference continues to be the premier marketplace for businesses working on the coastal, inland and offshore waters," said Show Director Bob Callahan, which "Tradeshow Week" ranks as one of the Top 200 largest U.S. trade shows. "It's the place where new ideas meet reliable solutions for the marine industry."

Callahan noted the 2013 show was a record setter, attracting 1,100 exhibitors and more than 14,500 visitors from 45 states and 27 countries.

The 2014 WorkBoat Show promises to be the best ever, with a keynote address by Capt. Richard Phillips, who became the center of an extraordinary international drama when he was captured by Somali pirates who hijacked his ship in April 2009; an annual conference with tiered programming in four focus areas; and, exhibitors from around the globe. Programming will take place in Halls B, C, D, E and F of the Morial Convention Center.

The WorkBoat Annual Conference provides crucial information on the most current regulations, technology and issues facing the commercial marine industry today. The Annual Conference will feature tiered programming that focuses on business management, legal and regulatory issues, marine safety and security, and technical issues/advancements.

Registration for the WorkBoat Show and Annual Conference is available at www.workboatshow.com.
