New film details the growing epidemic of the 21st century.

If you don't realize how dangerous this virus is, then we will take you out to the cemetary and show you our daughter's tombstone.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, August 20, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This year's Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis will include the documentary "Someone You Love - The HPV Epidemic" a full-length film about the epidemic of the 21st century, according to Kirk Forbes, founder of the Kristen Forbes EVE Foundation. The film trailer can be viewed at www.hpvepidemic.com.

The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most widespread, misunderstood and potentially dangerous epidemic that most people know little about. Eighty percent of all people under 50 years of age will have a strain of the virus at some point in their lives and many will not even realize they have it. Cervical cancer is almost exclusively caused by HPV and it is the second leading cancer in women. Worldwide, cervical cancer kills over 250,000 women every year. Meet five unforgettable women whose lives have been changed forever by this deadly virus. The film, produced by Lumiere Media, is narrated by Vanessa Williams. "This is one of the epidemics of the 21st century," says Otis Brawley, chief medical officer at the American Cancer Society. "This is a huge problem."

The film, which follows the day-to-day lives of five women struggling with the disease, details their diagnosis, treatment and prognosis over a period of several years. One of the women featured in the film is Forbes' daughter Kristen who died of the disease in 2008 after a yearlong struggle. She was 23 years old. Of the five women profiled, Kristen and Kelly Pozzoli ultimately died. The Heartland Festival runs October 16-25 in Indianapolis theaters. The film, produced by Lumiere Media, will also be featured in the Beloit International Film Festival February 14-23.

Forbes told a recent audience, "If you don't realize how dangerous this virus is, then we will take you out to the cemetary and show you our daughter's tombstone."
