New OAG DOT Analyser Now Integrates Key DOT Aviation Datasets

As the world's leading aviation and intelligence expert and global partner for airlines, airports, aviation, financial consultancies and manufacturers, OAG's timesaving aviation intelligence portal improves data analysis.

CHICAGO, IL, August 13, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- OAG, the global aviation information and analytical services leader, has advanced its dynamic web-based analytics suite - OAG Analyser with the DOT Analyser module, which consolidates three US Department of Transportation (DOT) aviation datasets to quickly deliver accurate information.

"Data from the DOT is vast and extremely valuable, however it comes with plenty of variables which can make it difficult to manipulate and examine for market insights," explains OAG Executive Vice-President John Grant.

Available as a single user or multi-user package, as part of the OAG Analyser module based portal, DOT Analyser is both user-friendly and efficient. It allows analysts to identify trends, spot commercial opportunities and monitor competitor activity using customizable report tools or ready-to-use automated reports. "Flexibility is built-in," comments Mr. Grant. "The new DOT Analyser is a timesaving aviation intelligence resource that improves the user experience by simplifying online data navigation of three key DOT datasets and providing easy-to-use analytic tools."

By combining three DOT datasets into one comprehensive easy-to-navigate platform, relevant T100, Form 41 and O&D report information are now readily available in one professional online portal that provides an intuitive system to mine valuable US aviation data.

The US DOT T-100 dataset includes passenger and cargo data information, load factors and traffic schedules by carrier, class and aircraft type. Dataset US DOT Form 41 looks at traffic schedules by carrier. The data further contains financial information such as balance sheets, income statements, employee counts and traffic schedules. The third dataset, US DOT Origin and Destination (O&D), provides data as reported by participating air carriers from the US DOT's continuous 10% sample of airline tickets.

As the world's leading aviation and intelligence expert and global partner of choice for airlines, airports, aviation, financial consultancies and manufacturers around the world, OAG provides trusted aviation databases that are unrivalled in their scale and accuracy.

This streamlined DOT Analyser product is the latest addition to OAG's trusted analytics suite - OAG Analyser, which includes Traffic Analyser, Connections Analyser, Schedules Analyser and Mapper.
