Local Author, Minister Signed to Publish New Book

Tate Publishing is proud to announce the signing of local author Bud Hill and his soon-to-be-published book Journey to Eschaton.

DENVER, CO, October 11, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- From the baseball fields of Ohio to the Himalayas of Nepal, from the halls of academia to the Dharma Bum adventures of an eclectic world traveler no place was or is too dangerous for author Bud Hill if it helps answer why you were born. Journey to Eschaton chronicles the author's experiences and encounters with life's origins, challenges and enigmas step by step, year by year deciphering what God the creator and redeemer of mankind intends not only for this planet but for each and everyone of us on our own journey. Readers will be moved by the life of one who would not settle for anything less than the best this life has to offer.

"I have always been 'hardwired' as a seeker of truth," said Hill about the inspiration behind the book. "It is at the core of my very being inspiring everything I do. Journey to Eschaton is a manifestation of that search, a road less traveled that literally took me around the world twice."

When discussing the book's overall theme, Hill shared, "The title says it all... Pilgrims on this planet, sojourners are overcoming the trials and tribulations of life. It is more than a journey but a destination. To reach the destination requires and end to the journey. That end in this season of the Lord's return is eschatological in scope requiring each pilgrim to die that they might live. This paradox is summed up with the word eschaton that means the end but also means a new beginning in a new heaven and new earth."

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Hill was born in Geneva, Ohio and grew up with a love and aptitude for the sport of baseball. When injuries kept him from making it to the "Bigs," Hill chose to instead enlist in the U.S. Army and served overseas in Korea as a First Lieutenant in the 38th Artillery Brigade. Following his service, Hill set out to travel the world in search of meaning and direction before returning to the states to become a high school teacher and minister.

Currently, Hill is an ordained minister living in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. After five pastorates and a decade as the executive director of a marriage and family retreat ministry, Hill chose the mountains as his home to learn to snowboard and challenge the young and the restless tribes the modern generations to encounter the One who made the mountains in the first place. Ten years later, he is still "shredding the nar" (riding the snow) with those looking for more than status quo and the best retirement plan.
