Mr. Holmes brings 41 years of professional experience to his role as head of the Real Estate Practice Group of Holmes Firm PC. In addition to commercial real estate, he practices in the areas of farm and ranch, correction facilities development, wealth preservation, corporate, employment law, financing and investing, as well as litigation in those practice areas.
Mr. Holmes' real estate law practice is as broad as it is deep. Mr. Holmes has served as lead counsel on real estate transactions all across the United States (more than 20 states), representing public and private companies, both domestic and international, in all manner of real estate transactions, including large scale multi-use land developments and high rise residential condominiums, to acquisitions and sales of operating property portfolios, office, industrial and retail leasing and virtually every other form of real estate development, construction, financing, investing and leasing.
Looking back, Mr. Holmes became involved in his profession because L.D. 'Buddy' Napper, an attorney who taught business law and was a civic figure, was his fraternity advisor while he was in college and he wanted to be just like him.
Mr. Holmes received a JD from the Louisiana State University in 1973. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Louisiana, the Dallas Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Real Estate Council.
