ConsultingWoodworker Inc. Announces Plans to Develop Free Woodworking Training Videos Using SketchList 3D

Woodworking expert and consultant Ralph Bagnall is putting his 30 plus years of experience to work in a series of videos, plans, and models of key shop storage projects, cabinets, display cases, furniture and assorted woodworking projects.

I love watching Ralph's videos. They are informative and very professionally executed. I see them as an excellent way to help woodworkers learn and understand the design and production process.

BOSTON, MA, December 06, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- SketchList incorporated (Milton, MA) and ConsultingWoodworker (Fort Myers, FL) joined forces to create a new series of three dimensional models, shop drawings, and online instructional videos for woodworkers. Mr. Bagnall, owner of ConsultingWoodworker, has over 30 years of experience covering all aspects of design, production, sales, marketing, and consulting with woodworking enterprises.

Ralph Bagnall wrote numerous articles in woodworking journals including Woodcraft magazine, Woodworkers Journal, and others. He is the author of three woodworking books. Because of the depth and breadth of his expertise manufacturers of woodworking related machinery and tools frequently engage Mr. Bagnall for his views on new product feasibility, design, and testing. His client lists includes Rockler Woodworking and Hardware, Freud, and Micro Jig.

SketchList Incorporated developed SketchList 3D, design software that allows woodworkers to easily create 3D models of furniture, cabinetry, and custom one-off building projects. It allows users to create their designs by dragging virtual three-dimensional boards onto the computer screen and arranging and sizing them as necessary. All functions are completely integrated -- a change in any aspect of the design is instantly reflected in the cut list, layout diagrams, shop drawings, and images. Woodworking functions such as joinery are provided as one click functions in the software. SketchList 3D is used by woodworkers worldwide.

Recently Mr. Bagnall relocated his shop and chose to build new machinery benches, tables, and storage areas. He used SketchList 3D to create the designs for his new shop. This created an opportunity for both ConsultingWoodworker and SketchList to develop a series of online guides to designing and building in wood. Using his expertise in design and furniture making, gained as a shop owner with decades of experience, Mr. Bagnall will create models of some of the most needed and popular woodworking projects using SketchList 3D.

After designing the projects on his computer he will produce them in his shop. This provides an educational opportunity for other woodworkers to watch videos of a project unfolding from concept and design right through production. This information will be posted as series of YouTube videos and blog posts. Plans for the projects developed will become available in either printed form or as SketchList 3D computer models.

David Rozewski, president of SketchList Incorporated said, "I love watching Ralph's videos. They are informative and very professionally executed. We are excited about working with Ralph as he develops this new library of plans for our users and the general woodworking community. There are so many ways these videos will be useful. I see them as an excellent way to help woodworkers learn and understand the design/production process."

You can see examples of Mr. Bagnall's work at www.consultingwoodworker.com. You can get a free trial version of SketchList 3D from www.sketchlist.com.

SketchList Incorporated developed SketchList 3D to enable woodworkers without computer expertise to design and modify models of furniture, cabinets and other types of woodworking projects. The company is located in Milton MA and sells and services customers worldwide. The software runs on Windows PC and Mac OS.
