STRATFORD, CT, December 10, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- CyberAlert LLC is now accepting applications for its 2015 PR Grants Program that awards selected non-profit organizations free media monitoring services.

The non-profits receive one year of free CyberAlert 5.0 online news monitoring, which monitors more than 55,000 online news sources in more than 250 languages from 191 countries. Grant recipients can opt to also receive either social media monitoring or U.S. TV news monitoring.

Interested non-profit organizations should apply before Dec. 31 using the online application form on CyberAlert's website. Applicants should provide a brief explanation of why they should receive the grant.

The retail value of each grant ranges between $3,000 and $6,000. CyberAlert expects to award 15 or more media monitoring grants in 2015 with total retail value to exceed $50,000.

Sara Bracken, associate, strategic engagement and communications for the Colorado Education Initiative praised the benefits of CyberAlert's service.

CyberAlert captures all media mentions in news outlets, blogs, online newsletters and social media. It has helped the organization monitor trends, create robust clip reports, and engage with new social media users.

"The daily email digest is a great way to stay on top of our media coverage and helps to ensure we are monitoring and engaging in real time," Bracken said.

Almost 200 non-profits have benefited from the PR Grants since 2004. The grants are given to a wide range of charitable organizations in education, healthcare services and research, the environment, youth development, recreation, and other public services. A complete list of previous CyberAlert PR grant recipients is available on CyberAlert's website.

All non-profits except previous recipients are eligible to receive a 2015 PR Grant. CyberAlert will announce grant recipients in January.

"The PR Grants Program is CyberAlert's social responsibility program -- our way of saying 'Thank you' and providing a service to organizations that help the community and can benefit from our services," said CyberAlert President and CEO William Comcowich.

The company's media monitoring services are used by corporations, government agencies and non-profit organizations throughout the world to conduct more than 2,000 ongoing daily searches of corporate and brand names for public relations, corporate and brand reputation management, competitive intelligence, market intelligence, and trademark infringement.
