Reform Canine Breeding and Auctions (RCBA) Launches Website to Recruit Volunteers and Advocate for Canines

Josh Davis of Made in Fort Worth helps group advocating regulation and licensing of for-profit dog breeders create professional web presence.

RCBA has created a vision, mission, and plan to accomplish its goals of registration and better regulation of for-profit dog breeders.

FORT WORTH, TX, December 22, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Reform Canine Breeding and Auctions (RCBA) has a simple mission: to ensure dogs in the hands of commercial breeders are treated humanely and compassionately and that they are bred using only medically sound practices.

"We're launching a grassroots movement to register and regulate for-profit dog breeding," said Ron Sturgeon, the group's founder, a Fort Worth-based businessperson, and a long-time supporter of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescue.

The group believes that registration of breeders and sensible regulation are the best first steps to improving the lives of dogs in the hands of breeders. It turned to local web developer Josh Davis to help create a professional web presence.

"I looked at other non-profit animal advocacy sites in designing RCBA website," said Davis. "Visitors had to be able to fill out volunteer forms on tablets or smart phones without any issues," said Davis, who also designed the RBCA logo.

"The site also needed to be easy for RBCA's volunteer webmaster to update as the movement gets traction," said Davis. RBCA is currently filling leadership positions on its board of directors and looking for a volunteer to be its webmaster.

"RCBA has created a vision, mission, and plan to accomplish its goals of registration and better regulation of for-profit dog breeders. RCBA has attracted people from every walk of life who are ready to make this effort a success," said RCBA President Hue Grant.

The group will hold its first planning board meeting in January in Dallas. Following that meeting, it will be finalizing its non-profit status, soliciting donations and recruiting volunteers. Learn more at ReformCanineBreedingandAuctions.com.
