National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Katharine Anne Young, RN, MSNH as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

Katharine Young will be featured in the upcoming edition of the NADP Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015 for her Work in Healthcare.

WEST DENNIS, MA, February 14, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Katharine Anne Young, RN, MSNH, Proprietor and Holistic Health Practitioner at We Are More!, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field of holistic healthcare and education through the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. Katharine Young will be featured in the upcoming edition of the NADP Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015.

Earning her nursing degree in 1962 and marrying shortly thereafter, Ms. Young started a family and began working in local hospitals as a post anesthesia care unit nurse. Many years later, in 1995, she was introduced to energy healing and the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA). Although hesitant and a bit doubtful, she was still interested in their philosophy of practice and this very interesting art of nursing. Katharine's professional focus soon changed dramatically when she decided to return to academia to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Holistic Health from Lesley University.

"Holistic nursing created a strong desire for me to know more, experience more, and be a more thorough caregiver," Ms. Young said about this very unique type of healthcare.

It's been nearly 20 years since Ms. Young earned her BS in 1995, but she, just like the field of holistic itself, has blossomed tremendously in the last two decades. Forming We Are More! in 2009 in West Dennis, Massachusetts, it has served as the brainchild for her where she serves as an independent practitioner providing acupressure, advanced energy healing, aromatherapy, color therapy, craniosacral therapy, natural cleaning, newborn infant massage, vibrascents, and yoga for children, all of which support a relaxed and fulfilled feeling for clients. Experienced working with everyone from children through seniors, Ms. Young will help individuals explore practical solutions that can be incorporated into daily life so that they can feel more at ease. Her services include: acupressure; advanced energy healing; aromatherapy; color therapy; craniosacral therapy; natural cleaning; newborn infant massage; vibrascents; and yoga for children.

In 2009, Ms. Young became a published author. Her first book, 'Grandmother Moon & Roy G. Biv: Explore the Amazing Secrets of Color For All Ages', is a story about a miraculous journey of discovery and exploration. In the 2010 release of her second book, 'Seeing Without Seeing: The Dilemma of ADHD For Parents and Caregivers', the book talks about how Grandmother Moon returns to visit her favorite student, Roy, as he rocks his newborn baby to sleep.

A longstanding member of the AHNA since 1995, Ms. Young served as their New Hampshire coordinator for some time. She is also a weekly member of the Edgar Cayce study group, a support group that supports healthier living with spiritual foundations.
