Next Generation Nissan Titan Debuted at the North American International Auto Show, According to Ferman Nissan

    TAMPA, FL, February 19, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In an act that marked Nissan's aggressive return to the full-size pickup segment, the automaker unveiled its all-new, next-generation 2016 Nissan Titan XD at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. (1)

Ferman Nissan is pleased to announce the debut of the model, which features all-new Titan XD styling that includes bold exterior and interior design elements inspired by the automaker's "powerful precision tool" theme. (1)

The truck is equipped with a mighty Cummins 5.0-liter V-8 turbo diesel engine, (1) which was previously teased via an online trailer posted on the NissanNews.com website (USA edition). (2)

The 5.0-liter Cummins turbo diesel V-8, offered only on the XD, produces 310 horsepower and 555 pound-feet of torque and is coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, buyers of the new generation Titan XD can expect maximum towing of 12,000 pounds and a payload capacity of 2,000 pounds. (3)

In addition to the diesel engine, Nissan confirms that gasoline-powered V-6 and V-8 options will be available on both the Titan and Titan XD models, although details are yet released. (3)

The full Titan range will offer multiple cab and bed configurations and trims, including what Autoblog describes as a rugged-looking Pro-4X and a new top-of-the-line Platinum Reserve. With the exception of the Pro-4X, all other models are available with two- or four-wheel drive. (3)

Other features include a rearview camera with trailer guides, around-view monitor with moving object detection, trailer light check system, blind spot warning, front and rear sonar system, and available Zero Gravity seats. (1)
