William Morris, QC, Celebrates 55 Years of Success with The Morris Law Group

    HAMILTON, ON, February 19, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William Morris, QC, Founding Partner with The Morris Law Group has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in personal injury law.

Recognized as a pioneer in personal injury law, Mr. Morris parlays more than 50 years of experience into the field. In 1960, he founded his own firm, and later hired a full-time occupational therapist and registered nurse to provide expert medical advice to clients who initially came to the firm seeking legal advice. Mr. Morris also founded Accident Benefits Consultants to provide ongoing support for his clients throughout the claims process. He has been instrumental in several precedent-setting cases, including Violi v. General Accident Assurance Co. of Canada, Mascitti v. Gore, Murphy v. Welsh and Janiak v. Ippolito.

As a founding partner with the firm, Mr. Morris oversees plaintiff personal injury cases. His primary areas of focus include automobile accidents, brain injuries, head and neck injuries, long-term disability claims, medical and professional malpractice, no fault claims and accident benefit claims, paralysis, slips and falls, and spinal cord injuries. He was the 2006 recipient of the Emilius Irving Award, which he received from The Hamilton Law Association in recognition of distinguished service to the legal community. As a certified specialist in civil litigation, Mr. Morris has addressed legal, medical and insurance organizations across Canada regarding personal injury matters.

Mr. Morris was initially inspired to pursue a career in personal injury law because he wanted to be able to help the less fortunate. To qualify him for his career, Mr. Morris received a JD from York University. He attributes his success to his empathy toward his clients. Recently inducted into Worldwide Registry, Mr. Morris also served as the president of The Hamilton Law Association, Hamilton Medical-Legal Society, Hamilton Jewish Federation and B'nai Brith Canada. In the coming years, Mr. Morris intends to continue to be a strong personal injury force in the community.
