FLORHAM PARK, NJ, April 03, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. David Jude Lange, Plastic Surgeon and MD for The Peer Group for Plastic Surgery, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in cosmetic surgery.

With 27 years of experience in the industry, Dr. Lange was drawn to plastic surgery during his general surgery training, where he was introduced to reconstructive surgery. He feels that reconstructive surgery impacts peoples' lives, alleviating their suffering and making their life worth living. Dr. Lange wanted to have a positive impact in his professional work and knew then that the artistic side of plastic and reconstructive surgery would provide that rewarding opportunity. Presently an MD and plastic surgeon at The Peer Group for Plastic Surgery, he specializes in cosmetic work for the face and body.

Dr. Lange feels that cosmetic surgery should be natural in appearance as it enhances the beauty of the patient. He is a caring and artistic plastic surgeon in Florham Park, N.J., who is extensively trained in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He completed his pre-med at NYU, and worked at Cornell Medical Center.

Dr. Lange's feelings toward plastic surgery are best conveyed by the following quote: "We restore, repair and make whole those parts of the face and body that nature has given, but fortune has taken away, not so much that we delight the eye, but that we buoy up the spirit and restore the mind of the afflicted," by Dr. Gaspare Tagliacozzi, University of Bologna, Italy 1597, an early plastic surgeon. Becoming involved in health care was an evolution for Dr. Lange. He had an opportunity to go into the Air Force and become a pilot. He wanted to be able to help people and he also had a close friend in college who introduced him and opened his eyes up to the idea of health care and medicine. That summer, he worked in a local hospital as an orderly to see what went on in that type of environment. He knew immediately he wanted to pursue a career in the health care field.

Dr. Lange is very active in humanitarian and charitable organizations in northern New Jersey and abroad, giving children with birth defects a chance to live normal lives. One of his passions is helping infants and children born with facial birth defects, such as cleft lip and cleft palate, ear deformities and other facial abnormalities. Plastic surgery provides the child with a life-changing transformation from a disfigured embarrassment to the family to a normal healthy child. Dr. Lange has been on the team of physicians at the St. Barnabas Regional Craniofacial Center in Livingston, New Jersey since he began his practice with

The Peer Group. He has also participated in many trips to foreign countries to help children and families in need of cosmetic plastic surgery. El Salvador was the first and one of the most memorable of his trips. His team was able to help 136 patients over a week's time. He has also traveled to Guatemala, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Bosnia, Thailand and the Philippines.

A Graduate of UAG Medical School, Dr. Lange completed five years of general surgery training at St. Barnabas Medical Center and his plastic surgery residency at St. Louis University. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and is also board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of The American College of Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and The American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
