Philip D. Swann Celebrates 38 Years of Success as an Attorney

Philip D. Swann decided early on in his legal career that he wanted to focus on trial work



He has held an AV Preeminent Attorney distinction by Martindale-Hubbell for 15 years and has been selected as a Super Lawyer three times by Super Lawyer Magazine.

    METAMORA, MI, April 08, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Philip D. Swann has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in personal injury litigation.

Mr. Swann has 38 years of professional experience, with 35 as an attorney in private practice. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated his ability in trial work, particularly with regard to personal injury trial work, both defense and plaintiff. Looking back, Mr. Swann became involved in his profession after observing several attorneys and learning from them while he was clerking in the circuit courts. He got to know them and did what he could to get into a good trial firm, performing defense work for 10 years in defense in the areas of product liability, medical malpractice, construction, auto and premises liability. He then decided that he wanted to represent plaintiffs.

Mr. Swann served in he U.S. Army in Vietnam as a First Lieutenant in the Infantry and received medals including the awarded the Bronze Star for Valor and the Combat Infantry Badge. Mr. Swann received a law degree from Wayne State University in 1977 and a degree from the University of Michigan-Flint, where he graduated with high distinction in 1972. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association, the Michigan State Bar and the American Bar Association. He has held an AV Preeminent Attorney distinction by Martindale-Hubbell for 15 years and has been selected as a Super Lawyer three times by Super Lawyer Magazine. In the coming years, Mr. Swann will continue working as of counsel for Kohl, Harris, Nolan & McCarthy P.C., in Metamora, Mich., where he will counsel and advise clients with the firm, sometimes jointly.
