Sam C. Weber Honored for Excellence in Treating Thyroid Disease

Dr. Weber turned his interest in medicine into a successful career as a physician



Each day, he works as a clinical professor for head and neck surgery at the University of Texas in Houston and serves as a clinical professor at Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

    HOUSTON, TX, April 08, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sam C. Weber, Medical Doctor of St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital-Houston, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in thyroid medicine.

Dr. Weber has 41 years of experience as a medical doctor of St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital-Houston. Throughout his career, he has set himself apart through his knowledge and expertise with regard to surgical disease of the thyroid, parathyroid disorders, sinus disease and sleep apnea. Each day, he works as a clinical professor for head and neck surgery at the University of Texas in Houston and serves as a clinical professor at Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Dr. Weber has been practicing medicine for more than 41 years. He is the Chief of Otolaryngology at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital-Houston. His patients are mostly adults, and his practice specialties are in general otolaryngology, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, head and neck surgery, sinus disease and obstructive sleep apnea. He has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout his career. He became involved in his profession because he always had an interest in medicine. That interest had spiked when Dr. Weber was in college and had met a special mentor.

Dr. Weber became a general surgeon of M.E. Debakey through the the Department of Surgery. Additionally, he completed a teaching program at Balboa Naval Hospital from 1971-1973. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Head and Neck Surgeons, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, the Harris County Medical Society, the Texas Association of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, the Houston Surgical Society, the American Thyroid Association, the Centurion Club and the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States. In recognition of his excellence throughout the years, he was named as one of America's Top Physicians by the Consumers Research Council of America for a number of years, as well as one of America's Top Doctors for Cancer in the Southwest Region by a Castle Connolly Guide from 2007-2009. In the coming years, Dr. Weber intends to continue on his current path, as well as experience grow and add more doctors to the company.
