VELUX Introduces Pleated Skylight Blinds

    FORT MILL, SC, April 25, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- VELUX America is adding room darkening double-pleated and light-filtering single-pleated choices to its skylight blinds line. The new models join flat fabric blackout blinds and flat fabric light filtering blinds, providing an expanded selection in both function and appearance.

All are available in solar powered or manual models and in designer colors and patterns for decorating variety in addition to energy efficiency. Manual Venetian blinds are also available to control the amount and direction of incoming light and shadows.

Ross Vandermark, national product manager for VELUX America, says that the new double-pleated room darkening blind cloth has a honeycomb structure and an aluminum coating inside. "The blinds improve the insulation effect of skylights and the sleek pleated design makes them attractive blinds for any room," he says.

All VELUX solar powered blinds are eligible for a 30 percent federal tax credit as are VELUX solar powered fresh air skylights. Installation costs for both the blinds and skylights also are eligible for the tax credit.
