The Harris-Casel Institute Announces New Healthcare Training Programs

    PALM BAY, FL, April 23, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Harris-Casel Institute of Melbourne, Florida has announced that it is now enrolling students for its new Medical Billing & Coding and Phlebotomy / EKG programs.

Beginning on Monday, May 11th and offered days or evenings, the six-week Phlebotomy / EKG programs will prepare students for employment as Phlebotomists and EKG Monitor Technicians. Also starting on May 11th and offered days or evenings, the 42-week Medical Billing & Coding programs prepare students for careers in healthcare and insurance.

Upon successful completion and meeting all course requirements, students of the Phlebotomy / EKG program will be issued a Diploma of Completion for Phlebotomy and will be eligible to take the National Health Career Association Certification for Phlebotomy Technician (CPT). They will also receive a Certification of Completion for 42 hours of "EKG Basic Arrhythmia."

Upon successful completion of the Medical Billing & Coding program, the student will be issued a Diploma of Completion and will be prepared to take the AAPC or National Health Career Association certifications for Billing & Coding and EHR. The student will also receive a Certificate of Completion for the HIV/AIDS, CPR, and First Aid sections of the program.

Harris-Casel also offers the following programs: Home Health Aide, Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, and Practical Nursing.
