TALLAHASSEE, FL, April 22, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kelton Farris, Attorney for Premium Assignment Corporation, a subsidiary of SunTrust Bank, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in collection law and the premium finance industry.
Driven by a desire to help his clients, coupled with his assertive approach to law, Mr. Farris has been a successful attorney serving SunTrust Bank for more than 22 years. He has worked at a subsidiary of SunTrust named Premium Assignment Corporation since 2001, where he focuses on collection law as it applies to premium finance companies, as well as issues related to bankruptcies and compliance with premium finance laws. In a recent interview, Mr. Farris admitted, "I like collection law because it involves getting people to do the right thing and honor their commitments." For his excellent legal service, Mr. Farris has earned an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Farris wasn't always on track to become an attorney. In fact, he earned a degree in biology and worked in the field of mixology for nearly a decade before attending law school. Upon entering Stetson Law School, Mr. Farris found his calling, graduated fourth in his class and spoke on behalf of Florida Bar inductees at the Florida Supreme Court swearing-in ceremony in recognition of his high bar exam score.
Mr. Farris has served as secretary for the National Premium Finance Association for the past several years, and he received the Corporation for National and Community Service's Bronze Volunteer Service Award in 2013 and 2014 in recognition of his volunteer services with the Guardian ad Litem Program, Kairos Prison Ministry and other community service organizations.
