Annual Science Fair Was a Success at Delphi Academy of Santa Monica

Santa Monica, CA--Every student at the Delphi Academy of Santa Monica participated on Friday, April 24 in the annual school-wide science fair.

SANTA MONICA, CA, May 01, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Depending on their age group, students presented their experiments as a class, in small groups and pairs, or individually. Each project was unique, educational and entertaining.

The youngest scientists in Delphi Santa Monica's Early Kindergarten class conducted an experiment together. The students, ages 3 to 5, learned about capillary action, asking "Can We Make Water Move Without Touching It?" Every child in the class participated in the experiment and presentation.

Older students, from kindergarten to fourth grade created and conducted projects spanning from physics to biology. Some students investigated plants and how living conditions affect their growth. Others wondered, "How Permanent are Permanent Markers?" A few scientists created marble runs to learn about friction while their classmates examined Newton's Laws of Motion.

Science is a strong factor of the broader Delphi Academy of Santa Monica curriculum. Students learn research skills and dive into biology and the physical sciences during various activities throughout the school year.

Delphi Academy of Santa Monica is an independent, coeducational day school with over 30 years of educational experience and part of a national network of acclaimed schools with locations in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, No. California, Florida and Oregon.
