New, Simple Monitoring System for CNC Machines

Nanospark: CNC Machine Monitor is a new and simplified approach to machine event and efficiency monitoring; benefiting machine shops of all types and sizes.

[The monitor's] simplicity and economy will help many more production shops benefit from machine monitoring.

ALTOONA, WI, May 28, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Nanospark: CNC Machine Monitor delivers key machine monitoring features in a simple to install, configure and use format. "Machine monitoring can help manufacturers use resources more efficiently and expand their operations. We designed our monitor so that it's simplicity and economy will help many more production shops benefit from machine monitoring," says Joel Labrucherie, Nanospark's Product Manager.

Nanospark: CNC Machine Monitor is installed in parallel with machine components and is compatible with any machine using 12VDC or 24VDC controls. This approach is both simple to setup and adaptable to individual shop needs. Further, the near universal compatibility lets manufacturers with multiple machine types and brands implement a single monitoring solution.

A unique feature of this system is that users configure the events to monitor with an app running on an attached tablet. The app walks the user through event configuration, allowing them to specify what to watch for, when to monitor and who should receive the alert(s). Machine status alerts are sent out by email or text message.

The app also helps users configure meaningful efficiency reports- by job, by shift or according a custom schedule that's best for them. Reports, displayed in chart and graph formats, are delivered by email.

A complete monitoring system ($1290) includes the hardware, tablet with app installed and one year unlimited messaging subscription. Yearly renewal of the unlimited messaging subscription is $120-$240. "To increase the economy of our system," says Labrucherie, "Nanospark is designed so that a single unit can monitor one to eight machines, depending on the extent of monitoring needed- a cost effective solution!"

Installation and use examples may be found on the product website, www.CNCMachineMonitoring.com.
