The Airhook Debuts to Let Travelers Take Back their Airplane Seat

Creative, resourceful device allows travelers to use airline tray table in innovative, space-saving way

"We are passionate about developing products such as The Airhook to suit today's needs by better utilizing existing resources." Craig Rabin, Inventor of The Airhook

SEATTLE, WA, June 04, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pacific Northwest-based idea shop Mr. CER Tech today announced the launch of The Airhook, an easy tool that allows airline travelers to use their seat's tray table to securely hold an electronic device and beverage--all while allowing for maximum legroom. The Airhook is aimed at elevating the level of comfort and convenience for airplane travelers.

To use The Airhook, travelers simply attach the device's anchor over the top of the tray table, then place a beverage in the opening, and use The Airhook's device holding rib and adjustable bungee to fasten any phone or tablet up to 7.5 inches tall. Then, they can sit back and move freely throughout their flight. For pictures and a demonstration video, visit TheAirhook.com.

"Travelers needs have changed since airplane tray tables were designed decades ago, and vertical use of the tray table allows for a more comfortable flying experience," says Craig Rabin, CEO and founder of Mr. CER Tech. "We are passionate about developing products such as The Airhook to suit today's needs by better utilizing existing resources."

The idea for The Airhook came from a flight Rabin took several months ago, as he was wearing a sport coat and considered using the tray table as a way to hold his coat up. A few weeks later on another flight, Rabin ordered coffee and realized he'd have nowhere to put his cup if using his tray table for a hook. This sparked Rabin to create a two-in-one solution that incorporated a beverage holder with an device holder that features an adjustable cord, so it could hold a larger range of mobile phones and tablets.

Mr. CER Tech is using Kickstarter to help fund the cost of tooling and a short initial manufacturing run to fulfill orders. Early-bird orders for The Airhook will be approximately $15, with costs expected to rise to $21 once those run out, and an MSRP of $30 once the product is available in stores.
