/24-7PressRelease/ - February 12, 2008 - Rich & Famous Tours has discovered the secret location of the New York City townhouse used on the current Bravo reality show Make Me A Supermodel and has added it to the "insider's" tour of Big Apple "celebrity" sites, according to guide Jim Dykes. The highly rated reality show, hosted by former catwalkers Nikki Taylor and Tyson Beckford, is currently in the fifth week of a 12-week period, and is designed to "whittle down" 24 beautiful men and women to one model who will win $100,000 and a modeling contract with top agency New York Model Management, who represents models such as Elle Macpherson, Omahyra and Sarah O'Hare. The models aspirants are from all over the country and include a student, several waiters and waitresses and a prison guard from Nashville.
Press materials for Make Me A Supermodel are deceiving--they claim the group of models are living together in a "New York City loft exploring friendships, romance and naked ambition while undergoing a series of creative challenges designed to test their professional modeling potential." In reality, the program has housed the models in a fashionable $10 million townhouse at 240 East 61st Street, next door to the Trinity Baptist Church, only steps away from Bloomingdales. The 1850 townhouse has been outfitted with lights and cameras and sturdy but fashionable furniture designed to be photogenic yet survive its 12 weeks of dormitory use by the model-wannabes. The models enter and leave the townhouse via the top of the stoop while the reality show camera crew (dressed in black) usually enters thru the street entrance under the stoop. The Rich & Famous Tour participants witnessed the models leaving the townhouse on Saturday, Feb. 9 in several black mercedes, along with crew members following every movement.
Rich & Famous Tours of New York shows curious locals and starstruck visitors where the models, celebrities and celebrity/model wannabes live, dine & party; film & TV locations; old & new money stories and even crime and death locations ripped straight from the headlines.
