He began his law career as a prosecutor in the Riverside County District Attorney's Office in Indio, Calif. Among his assignments was to oversee the Palm Springs office. During his tenure with the D.A.'s office, he prosecuted murders and other serious felonies, as well as misdemeanors. There, he gained a well-earned reputation as a superior trial attorney.
In the early 1980s, Mr. Soda went into private practice for one of the most respected criminal lawyers in Coachella Valley: Glen Bradak. He practiced first as an associate and then as a partner for three years. Afterward, he entered into a partnership with Lawrence W. Fry; they practiced together as Fry & Soda, A Law Partnership, until Mr. Fry became a commissioner and later judge of the Superior Court. It was after Judge Fry's selection as a commissioner of the courts that Mr. Soda started his own firm.
Today, Mr. Soda experiences great success in his legal practice and is recognized as a leading attorney by Martindale-Hubbell standards. He holds AV preeminent rating and was honored by the organization with the Client Distinction Award this year. He has also been named a top-rated lawyer in litigation.
He holds a JD from Loyola Marymount University and belongs to The State Bar of California and American Inns of Court.
